With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chester Otis Bennett (Liberty, Missouri), born in Forest City, Missouri, who passed away on June 6, 2019 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bennett and Lena Bennett (Sloniker); and his brother Charles Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Power; his sister Joyce; his son Gerd Bennett; his stepson Richard Gordon Miller (Kari Miller); his stepgrandchildren, Shianne and Joey McCalister; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Eliza. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Veterans Association, or Wounded Warriors Project.
