He was predeceased by: his former wife Kathryn Ann Greenfield; his parents, Sydney Payne and Fanny Smith (Butner); and his son Scott. He is survived by: his wife Martha Thomas; his children, Beth Cochran (Cole), Kendra Callaway (Tim) and Dan; and his stepdaughters, Edith Pautz (Frank) and Dina Risalvato. He is also survived by six grandsons and their wives; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to International Mission Board or to The Baptist Home, Ozark, Missouri.
