He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin M. Ward, Sr. and Idell B. Ward; his former wife Norma Jean Ward; his son-in-law Walee Hameed; and his siblings, Ohella Townsend, Eugene Ward, Loraine Williams, David Ward and Larry Ward.
He is survived by: his children, Tonie Rene and Gail Anette (Robert Warner); his wife Wilma Ward; his children, Kevin Anthony Ward, Irvin Morris Ward, III, Victoria Lamb and Melvin Lamb; his grandchildren, Karim, Juba, Kaamilyah, Jewel Hameed, Edward J. Brown, II and Darren M. Brown; his great grandchildren, Ameera, Walee, Suleimon and Lugman Hameed; and his brother Donald Ward.
