He was predeceased by : his father Julius Emerich; and his pet Guido. He is survived by : his mother Beverly Alice Kucsik (Lake) of Jefferson City; his stepmother Carol Kucsik of Linn Creek; his brothers, John Kucsik (Christie) of Springfield, Mike Kucsik of Linn, Robert Kucsik (Kim) of Four Seasons and Richard Kucsik (Pam) of Jefferson City; his nieces and nephews, Reavis, Josh, Zach, Nick, Ethan, Ben, Olivia, Emma and Ella Kucsik; his girlfriend Nancy Fisher of Springfield; and his close friend Sarah Siegismund of Overland Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation, American Cancer Society, or Dogwood Animal Shelter.
