He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylva Joe Seefus Lipsey and Lois Idellar Wylie; and his sister Barbara Lipsey Sartin. He is survived by: his spouse Virginia Louise Thompson; his children, Eddie Joe Lipsey, Daniel Lipsey, Mellissa Thompson, Elizabeth Headd and Carla Norris; and his siblings, Patricia Lipsey Palmer, Betty Carolyn Lipsey Floyd and Dennis Lipsey. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
