He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Jay and Drusa Dooley Williams; and his siblings, Beacher Williams, Alka Lawrence, Paul Williams, Mona Hodge, Iva Barfoot Lawrence, Anna Lee Hamlett, Jay Dee Williams, Goldie Arant, Calvin Williams, Alice Powell and L. C. Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Williams; his children, Joe Williams, Jr., Shelley Johnson and Andy Williams; his daughter-in-law Leigh; his grandson Max Johnson; his great grandchild Kai Johnson; and his friends, Ken Morrow and Michael Karlyle. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will not be a public visitation.
