He was predeceased by: his former wife Joyce Zimmerman; his children, Garland Lee Zimmerman, Wade La Mont Zimmerman and Cindy Ra Chell Zimmerman; and his brothers, Houston Dale Zimmerman and Wiley Douglass Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his spouse Joyce Goldsmith; his daughter Sheila Denise Wayne (Charles) of Malden; and his siblings, Pat Ann Francis of Florida and Terry Dwight Zimmerman (Pat) of Florida.
