He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Ezzell and Effie Ezzell; his siblings, James Ezzell and Joyce McKinley; and his daughter Nancy Katherine Ezzell.

He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Barbara, John (Donna), Charles Thomas and David (Lori); his grandchildren, Mark, Julie, Matthew and Libby; and his brother Jack (Jean).
