He is survived by: his children, James Howard Dowd, Ivan Dowd, Mark Dowd, Richard Dowd, Vineta Strand and Donna Wilson; and his siblings, C. J. James, Bill Joe James, Norma Kalal and Colleen Cook. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
