He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonas E. Long and Nancy Elizabeth Garland Long; his daughter Larhonda Kay Long; and his siblings, Elzie, Francis Long, Opal Fulbright and Juanita Long.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his son Stanley Long (Kim) of Glen Allen; his sister Martha Ann Compass of Cape Fair; his grandchildren, Brandon Long (Chelsey) of Leopold and Kelsie Long of Glen Allen; and his great grandchildren, Easton and Kasen Long.
