With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Kalthoff of Marshall, Missouri, who passed away on January 30, 2021 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marshall Butts and Lula Mae Hill Butts; her husband Melvin H. Kalthoff; her son Jerry L. Thomas; and her siblings, Ray, Wilbur, Ralph, Bobby Butts, Kay Bullard, Ruby Smith and Shirley Wolfe Failor.
She is survived by: her children, Jack L. Thomas of Marshall, Lana M. Mann of Lee's Summit, MO and Karla J. Slavens of Springfield, MO; her grandchildren, Darin Thomas, Lance Thomas, Tiffany Thomas, Brian Francis and Joshua Mann; and her siblings, Barbara Schmirler of Wausau, WI and James Butts of Marshall. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
