He was predeceased by: his father Logan Harvey; and his brother Jimmy Dale Harvey. He is survived by: his mother Ann Harvey (Ince); his wife Sheryl Harvey (Bruton); his children, Russell Bruton (Victoria Parker), Kasey Owen, Richard Bruton, Melisa Bruton, Heather Tramel (Andrew), Jerry Bruton and Rose Meyers (Michael); and his siblings, Basil Harvey (Melinda Bruton), Regina Moore (Ray), Deana Harvey and Sheila Diana Gonzales (Lupe). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
