He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray L. Starmer and Kathleen Starmer (Woollums); his brother Jimmie Starmer; his grandson Clinton Starmer; and his parents-in-law, Edwin and Inez Burton.

He is survived by: his wife Dixie Burton; his children, Lesa Gard (Paul), Steve Starmer (Debbie) and Mark Starmer (Tina); his grandchildren, Angela Compton (Daniel), Pamela King (Chad), Tyler Starmer (Kyla), Wyatt Starmer (Tessa), Jacob Starmer, Emily Starmer, Casey Starmer and Courtney Starmer; his great grandchildren, Grant King, Ellee, Avery Krenz and Stella Starmer; and his siblings-in-law, Viola Starmer, Sharon Clark and Dewayne Clark. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
