She was predeceased by : her parents, Charley Lewis Smith and Birtha Mae Smith; and her brothers, Charles Edward Smith, Lowell Eugene Smith and Dale Lee Smith.

She is survived by : her children, Dale McKay (Donna) of Pflugerville, David McKay (Melissa) of St. Louis, Missouri and Linda McKay of St. Louis, Missouri; her sister-in-law Norma Smith of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jarred, Justin, Jesse, Erica, Nichole, Krystle, Brittni, Zach and Jeff; and her great grandchildren, Lybbie, Ameyah, Katie, RyLee, Stryder, Waylon, Gabriella and Ariel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Bertha Helen McKay to the charity of choice.
