She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Stark and Jo Anna Stark (Clark); her husband Richard Allen May; and her siblings, Forrest, Albert, James, Daniel Stark, Mary Hines and Goldie Thurnau.

She is survived by : her son Michael Carter (Melissa); her grandchildren, Jesse, Sabreena, Ashlee and Spencer Carter; and her siblings, Donnie Stark (June), Jess Stark (Becky Renner), Dave Stark, Reta Stark, Debbie Stark (Keith Statereau), Terry Cox (Nash) and Loretta Tjarks (Martin). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
