He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Harry and Betty Heaston (Noah); his son Jamie Nickerson; his brothers, Douglas Heaston, Ralph Heaston and Donald Heaston; his brothers-in-law, Richard Nickerson, Cletus Schwartz and Les Pennington; his grandparents, Maggie Ames, Helen Heaston, John Ames, Sr. and Carl Douglas Heaston; and his siblings' children, Grace Gingerich and Kevin Sharon.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Heaston of Moberly, Missouri.; his sons, Justin Nickerson of Moberly and Joshua Nickerson (Chantel) of Higbee, Missouri; and his siblings, Margaret Welch (Leonard) of Westplains, Kellie McConnell (Lester) of Huntsville, Jolietta Heaston (Tommy) of Columbia, Betty Pennington of Moberly, Opal Nickerson of Moberly, Mardell Rippel (Tony) of Moberly, Dorothy Colbert (Steve) of Vandalia, Missouri, Steven Heaston (Sharon Poots) of Moberly and Carl Heaston of Vandalia, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and aunts and uncles.
