She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Oswandel and Mary Frances Oswandel (Davis); her husband David A. Van Gent; and her brother Charles Oswandel. She is survived by: her children, Sherri Beard (John) of Moberly and David D. Van Gent (Holly) of Boonville; her grandchildren, Jan-Michael Van Gent (Monica) of Okinawa, D. J. Van Gent (Casey) of Fayette and Shawn Pallardy (Ben) of Holts Summit; her great grandchildren, Lainey, Griffin, Mia and Gwenyth; and her sister-in-law Janice Oswandel.
Donations are suggested to a Memorial Tree Fund, which will be planted in memory of Lynda Van Gent.
