He was predeceased by: his fathers, James Leon Zumwalt and Zula Belle Zumwalt (Howard); his stepmother Martha Lee Zumwalt; and his brothers, John Zumwalt and Jimmy Zumwalt.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Messer of Higbee, Jim Zumwalt of Clarksville and Justin Zumwalt; his grandchildren, Rebecca Zumwalt of Mexico, Miranda Zumwalt of Houston, Austin Messer of Higbee and Nikki Zumwalt of Clarksville, Arkansas; his great grandchildren, Karter Messer of Higbee, Missouri and Kohen Messer of Higbee, Missouri; and his siblings, Bob Haley (Heddy), Mina Carrasco (Mike), Russell Zumwalt, Timmy Zumwalt, Tommy Zumwalt, Danny Zumwalt, Linda Macon and Brenda Taley. He is also survived by cousins, extended family and close friends.
