He is survived by: his wife Karyn; his children, Lee Shepard of Ames, IA and Annie Balman (Trevor) of New Providence, IA; his stepchildren, Dale Tanner of Cassville, MO, Kerry Coatney (Heather) of Aurora, MO, Matthew Coatney (Cynthia) of Eagle Rock, MO and Michelle Stephens (Everett) of Roanoke, TX; and his sister Sue George (David) of Freistatt, MO. He is also survived by grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
