With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattie Long of Montreal, Missouri, born in Stoutland, Missouri, who passed away on March 30, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rev. J. M. Brown and Lena Doyle Brown; her husband Donald "Jack" Long; her children, Sharon Sweatt (Richard) of Montreal, MO, Karen Simpson (Fred) of Montreal, MO and James Long (Sandra) of Holt Summit, MO; her grandchildren, Rick Sweatt (Jessica), Jonathan Sweatt (Sarah), Fred Simpson (Jeni), Sherry Taylor (Jeremy) and Shelby Kinnaman (Michael); her great grandchildren, Ally, Andy, Brittany, Braden, Jake, Brooklyn, Josh, Jack, Todd, Grif, Kyah and Mattie Jean; her great great grandchildren, Waylon, Westin, Everett James and Harrison; her son Paul Long; her brother Jim Brown; and her grandson Donnie Simpson. She was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
She will be missed, but our loss was certainly Heaven's gain. *In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to First Baptist Church of Richland.
