He was predeceased by : his parents, William "Seth" Thomas and Doris Delberta Wilson Thomas; his wife Eula Mae; and his brothers, Virgil Lon Thomas and Boyd Lynn Thomas.
He is survived by : his children, Galen Brent Thomas (Linda) of Springfield, Craig Brian Thomas (Annette) of Springfield and Pamela Sue Baker (Mike) of Mount Vernon; his grandchildren, Adam Baker (Amy) of Edmond, Erin Baker Webb (Alex) of Tulsa, Emma Thomas of Springfield, Megan Thomas of Springfield, Jacob Thomas (Giselle), Kohler of Springfield, Theodore Thomas (Molly), Keegan of St. Louis and Benjamin Thomas (Kayla) of Springfield; his great grandchildren, Quinn, Maddox Baker, Jacqueline, Mikayla Webb, John (Jack), Peter Thomas, Isabel and Alexander Thomas; and his sisters-in-law, Erma Nell Thomas and Loretta Faye Thomas.
Due to the pandemic, a graveside service under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at the Gray's Point Cemetery in Gray's Point, Missouri.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Gray's Point Cemetery Association or the donor's choice of charity, in care of the funeral home.
