She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel S. Griesel and Emma S. Griesel (French); her former husband Robert W. Schafer; her husband John L. "Jack" Pease; and her sister Faye Reed.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel R. Schafer (Shannon) of Milan, MI, Curtis M. Schafer (Karen) of Canton, MI, Kimberly Gritten (Al) of Neosho, MO and Wendy T. Schafer of Ann Arbor, MI; and also, Jeffery Pease (Cynthia) of New York, NY and Julie Jaeger of Zurich, Switzerland. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Her family believes that Lois would ask that those who wish to honor her memory should do so by making a donation to a charity of their choosing, or by doing a good deed.
