She was predeceased by : her parents, Wayne W. Barnes and Naomi C. Barnes; and her brother Wayne L. Barnes. She is survived by : her siblings, Carole B. Pelletier of Morehead City, Wanda B. Eastep (Bob) of Morehead City, David V. Barnes of Morehead City and Brant A. Barnes (Karen) of Sylva; her spouse Syd Douglas Massey; and her grandchildren, Christina Lee Lester, Jennifer Dianne Massey, Stephanie Lynn Massey, Caleb Seth Hopkins, Travis Shane Hopkins and William Cody Hopkins. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
