He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael Fischer and Lillian Fischer (Capko); and his father-in-law Duane Lockhart. He is survived by : his wife Sandra (Lockhart); his daughters, Brandi Fischer (Greg Smith) of Independence, MO, Alicia Fischer (Brandon Owens) of Ashland, OR and Jacque Howser of Arizona; his brother Mick Fischer (Judy) of Painesville, OH; his mother-in-law Dolores Lockhart of Odessa, MO; and his sister-in-law Linda Long of Odessa, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Odessa VFW or Vasculitis Foundation.
