He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Shy and Muriel Shy; his wife Preceding; his stepmother Margaret Shy; his brother Charles Shy; his half-siblings, Robert, Darrell Shy and Sue Merkel; and his grandmother Stella Shy.
He is survived by: his former wife Roberta Fay Shy (Crocker); his son Everett (Christine) of Wentzville, MO; his grandchildren, Molly Drews (Mike) of Wentzville, MO and Ryan Shy of O'Fallon, MO; his great grandchild Brennan Drews; his siblings, Bernell Shy (Sandy) of St. Charles, MO, Lawrence Shy (late Brenda) of St. Charles, MO, Ray Shy of St. Charles, MO, Ina Hamilton (Bill) of Kentucky, Marcella Crase (Glen) of Thayer, MO and Barb Zlataric (John) of Michigan; and his half-siblings, Mary Hayes (late Bob), Joyce Shy, Michelle Shadowens (Mike) of Herculaneum, MO, Ronnie Shy (Missy) of Barnhart, MO and Clarence Shy Jr. (late Lonnie) of Herculaneum, MO. He is also survived by his son, daughter in law, and grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Baue Funeral Homes does require all family members and guests to wear a mask while visiting our facilities. Social distancing is required, and guests should stay at least 6 feet apart.
Memorial contributions may be made in Everett's name to First Baptist Church of St. Charles.
