He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Davis and Blanche Davis; and his sister Dorothy Day. He is survived by : his wife Joan Davis; his sons, William Davis (Christine) and Scott Davis; his grandchildren, Josh Augustine, Remy Davis and Lainie Davis; his siblings, Jean Hanff, Thelma Obermeier and Mildred Kohler; and his pet Winston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Leukemia and Lymphona Society, or Cardinals Care.
