He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Colba and Gladys Colba; his son Brian John Colba; and his granddaughter Madison Colba. He is survived by: his children, Chad Colba (Anita), Jason Colba, Nathan Colba (Misty) and Natalie Van Wave (Ryan); his siblings, Paul Colba (Patricia), David Colba (Barbara) and Kathy Gertman (Roger); and his grandchildren, Jacob, Brody, Marlie, Miles, Lucas and Hattie.

Memorials may be made in John's name to the Parkinson's Foundation.
