She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Marlin V. Broeker; her parents, Willard Matthews and Anna Wolcott; her son Robert Broeker; her grandchildren, Jennifer Christiansen (Kevin), Robbie Broeker (Ashley) and Beau Broeker (Kelly Travis); her great grandchildren, Braden Christiansen, Ryder Christiansen, Campbell Christiansen and Scarlett Rose Christiansen; and her sister Irene Reynolds.

Memorials may be made in Marie's name to St Charles County Humane Society.
