He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hughes and Charlotte Hughes; his daughter Angela Kirby; and his brother Warner Hughes. He is survived by: his spouse Renate "Renee" Hughes; his son Albert Hillenbrand; his grandchildren, Matt Hill, Melissa Kirby, Jessica Kirby and Desera Hagelstein (Jake); his great grandchild Dahlia Hagelstein; and his sister Janet Pollar.
