He is survived by: his brother Woody; his nephews, Steve Carter and Billy Mark Carter; his son David Carter of Lompoc; his brother Woodrow W. Carter, Jr.; his wife Billie Marie of Mesquite; his sister Ida Lou West (Bob) of Daingerfield; his sister-in-law Lana Carter of Bedford; and also Ruby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of family, friends.
