She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Beeks and Arlene Beeks (Trullinger). She is survived by: her former husband Eric Ronald Johansen; her son Kaile Johansen (Amy); her sister Patty Dowden (Richard); and her sibling's children, Dana Bosley (Rick) and Ryan Dowden (Amy).

The family suggests memorials go to the Cass County Public Library Foundation, 400 East Mechanic Street, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
