He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Leroy James and Irene Joann Maza Engel; his former life partner Janice Krouse; his wife Barbara Ann Ratkovich; his children, Bob Engel (Karen) of Palos Heights, IL, Debbie Ganz (Mike) of Palos Heights, IL and Christy Engel of Oak Lawn, IL; his brother Roger Engel of Hot Springs, AR; his sister-in-law Fran Engel of Braidwood, IL; his close friends, David and Paula Poage of Perry; and his brother Ronald "Duke" Engel. He was also cherished by five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
