She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayland Henry "Red" Shiflet and Opal May Shiflet (Banks); her husband Joe Vaughn Nelson; her children, Kelly Todd and Joe Lynn Nelson; and her brother Hughie Wayland "Sonny" Shiflet.
She is survived by: her daughter Kerry Wiseman of Pierce City; and her siblings, Randolph Wayland Shiflet of Modesto, CA, Karen Sue Shiflet Keaton of Illinois and Phyllis Jane Shiflet Volkhardt of Green Valley, CA. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
