He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecil Palmer (Dick) and Lorene Blankenship Palmer; his stepfather Glen Williamson; his stepson Alan Wade; his granddaughter April Brown; and his son-in-law Rick Ludgate (Laveta Morgan).
He is survived by : his former life partner Maxine Kelley; his wife Helen Hon Wade; his children, Richard Palmer (Kathy), Emma Ludgate and Jim Palmer (Tracy) of Kansas City; his stepdaughter Gale Govro (Larry) of Parkville; and his close friend Aliene Harris of Smithville.
Memorial contributions can be given to the Hillsboro Christian Church.
