With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Gates of Platte City, Missouri, born in Stella, Missouri, who passed away on June 26, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Oberlin and Aletta Mae Gates (Holzer); and his siblings, Minnie Annabelle Gates and William. He is survived by : his wife Toni Deann Brown; his children, Rosa Gates of Jenks, OK, Teresa McMillian (Bill) of Grove, OK, Henry "Dink" Gates, II of Broken Arrow, OK, Samantha Gates (Nik) of Blue Springs, MO, Meagan Bartholomew (Stanton) of Kansas City, MO and Matthew Gates of Platte City, MO; and his granddaughter Karissa McMillian. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
