She was predeceased by: her parents, George Alvin and Sarah Jane Bennett (Triplett); her former husband Ralph Amos "Junior" Schmidt, Jr.; her husband Troy Clyde Ross; her granddaughter Pamela Fay Schmidt; and her siblings, George Bennett and Maude "Goldie" Carter.
She is survived by: her sons, Mike Schmidt (Debby) of Burlington and Terry Schmidt (LaDonna) of Kansas City; and her stepchildren, Junior Ross (Carol) of Pleasant Hill, Lloyd Ross (Pat) of Pleasant Hill, Bob Ross (Becky) of Pleasant Hill, Dennis Ross (Mary) of Pleasant Hill, Glen Ross of St. Louis, Jim Ross of Lee's Summit, Linda Kramer (D. A.) of Graff, Nancy Hull (Jim) of Pleasant Hill and Brenda Sanders (Preston) of Pleasant Hill. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
