He was predeceased by: his grandson Robbie Young; and his siblings, Georgia Mais, Betty Miley and Stanley Young. He is survived by: his parents, James Herbert Young and Fern Ann Young (Hutsler); his spouse Mary Ellen (Parks); his children, Steve Young (Cissy) of Lake, Connie Millbern (Stuart) of Blue Springs, Gary Young (Carla) of Sedalia and Douglas K. Young (Linda) of Pleasant Hill; his siblings, Herbert "Bussie" Young (Gloria) of Overland, MO and Laura Hoppes (Ron) of Sedalia; and his grandsons, Steven Young, Jason Young, Chris Young, Matt Young, Ryan Young, Tony Freitas, Lonnie Johnson and Adam Sommer. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren.
