He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett E. Brown and Ruby A. Brown (Gregg); his wife Sylvia Ruth Stephens; his stepmother Faye Brown; his siblings, Ronald Brown, Violet Owens and Mary Moore; and his stepsiblings, Dale Foster, Dorothy Jennings and Ruby Mahan.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Williams (Robert) of Farmington and Mark Brown (Bonnie Cagle) of Raytown; his grandchildren, Crystal Williams of Albuquerque and Josh Brown of Raytown; his stepgrandchildren, Tim Williams (Audrey) of Blue Springs and Ramona Dunn of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Lizzie Ogle (Garrett) of Oak Grove, Kendall Williams of Blue Springs and Kaiya Dunn of Lee's Summit; and his siblings, Jerry Brown (Beth) of Warrensburg and Linda Ann Brown of Fayetteville, Missouri.
