She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Richard and Pearl M. Graham (Ashe); her husband Larry K. Mead; her sons, Larry K. Mead, Jr. and Bradley Mead; and her sister Charlotte Graham.
She is survived by: her son Barry Mead (Belinda) of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; her brother Rick Graham (Vicki) of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; her granddaughter Dani Castro (Michael) of Belton, Missouri; and her great grandchildren, Richard Mead, Sean Mead, Maya Flaugher, Audrey Castro and Isabella Castro. She is also survived by nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Due to the sudden increase in the delta variant covid cases in this area, the family of Joan Mead will have a private graveside service at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Preston Sanders officiating.
