He was predeceased by: his sister Anna Mae Crisler; and his grandchildren, Christian Lee Strauss and Ruby Mae Strauss. He is survived by: his parents, William Warren and Ruth Marie Holmes (West); his wife Jeannie Holmes; his children, Chris Strauss (Samantha), John Strauss (Jessica Byrd), Crystal Strauss (Jeff Gaus) and Carolyn Strauss (Ryan Nash); and his brothers, Nelson Holmes and William Holmes. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren with two on the way and a great-grandchild.
