It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Sue Smith (Pleasant Hill, Missouri), born in Independence, Missouri, who passed away on September 3, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Rhodes and Nadine Rhodes (Parsons); and her siblings, Cathy Rust and Francis Luther Rhodes. She is survived by: her former husband Thomas C. Smith; her husband Robert C. Smith; her sons, Randy Joe Smith of Clinton, MO, Sean David Smith of Columbia, MO, Christopher Michael Smith (Jennifer) of Grandview, MO, Jeffery Allen Smith (Barbara) of Lee and Summit; her sister Linda Glenn (Stephen) of Cabool, MO; and her sister-in-law Julie Rhodes of Cabool, MO. She is also survived by five grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
