He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Clayton and Helen Scuka (Lockwood); and his brothers, Randy and Tony. He is survived by: his former wife Susan Frazier; his wife Diana Ring; his daughters, Julie Scuka Kabriel (Chris) of Des Moines, Jennifer Scuka Bennett of Portland, Tami Ring Jackson (Scott) of Pleasant Hill, Shawna Ring Richardson (Pat) of Mulvane and Kimberly Ring of Ellis, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Kaela, Jacob, Malaree, Khianne, Ayden, Dylan, Sam and Lexi; his great grandchildren, LaShay, Mattalyn and Emma; and his siblings, Rod, Rebecca and Carolyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Bridget Catholic Church, or to the Scuka Scholarship Fund that Steve and Diana previously established at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas.
