He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Asbury and Doris L. Asbury (Shrewsbury); and his sisters, Denise Asbury and Kathy Parvin. He is survived by: his wife Sheila D. Hughes of Pleasant Hill; his sons, Wayne Asbury, Jr. (Kimberly) of Peterborough and Lance Asbury (Rachel) of Independence, Kansas; his grandchildren, Chloe "HunnyBear" Asbury of Independence, Benjamin Asbury of Peterborough, Madeleine Asbury of Peterborough, Bill Platt of Mericopa, Mark Asbury (Diana) of Kansas City and Shawn Platt of Charleston, Missouri; his sisters, Robin Mezzacasa (Keith) of Willard and Jennifer Asbury-Miller of Grandview; and his cousins, Danny Goins of Princeton and George Asbury of Booneville, Missouri. He is also survived by several other cousins, nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
