She was predeceased by : her parents, Willard Wells and Helen Wells (Wilson); and her brothers, TJ Wells, Johnny Wells, Harry Mitchell and Richard Wells.
She is survived by : her husband Ray Simpson; her children, Karen Steltenpohl (Ray) of St. Joseph, Melody Jo Morton (Dan) of St. Joseph, Tony Woolard (Shelley) of St. Joseph and Jackie Yandell (Brian) of Plattsburg; her siblings, Marilyn Andersen of St. Joseph, Genny Simmons (Gerry) of Phoenix, AZ, Wilma Fleck (Fred) of Minnesota and Kenny Wells (Michelle) of Forsyth; and her stepchildren, Ranae Smith of Canyon City, CO, Ramon Simpson of Lincoln, NE and Robert Simpson of Colorado. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
