She was predeceased by: her parents, John William "J. W." and Nettie Alice Roland Baucum; and her siblings, Melvin Baucum, Willie Baucum, Velma Dabbs and Margie Whittaker.
She is survived by: her children, Robert William Patterson of Alabama, Garett Wayne Patterson, Marsha Kay Brown (Eddie) of Missouri and Cathy Lynn Redfearn (Chuck) of Arizona; and her stepson Dennis Whitlow (Carla) of Missouri. She is also survived by six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
