He was predeceased by: his parents, Muriel Smith and Arville Smith; his grandparents, Burns Young and Calvin Smith; and his siblings, Doyle Smith and Glenda Rauch.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith; his sons, Scott L. Smith of Poplar Bluff, Brian O. Smith (Michelle) of Poplar Bluff, Greg E. Smith of Poplar Bluff and Lynn W. Smith (Kelly) of Kennett; and his siblings, Ed Smith of Columbia, MO, Dorene McCulloh of St. Louis, Janet Clark of St. Louis, Earlene Simms of St. Louis and Judi McKowan of Yuma, AZ. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
