He was predeceased by: his parents, Okey L. Patterson and Nellie Pearl Patterson (Redferring); and his siblings, Bob Patterson, Aubrey Patterson and Lura "Honeys" Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Carter of Atlanta, Grant Patterson (Cristy) of Little Rock, Ark, Drew Patterson (Wesen) of Houston and Tex; his grandchildren, Emilie Lasher, Ethan Lasher, Taylor Patterson, Whitlee Patterson, Tripp Patterson, Zackary Patterson and Nathan Patterson; and his great grandchild Todd Taylor.
