It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Alton Pinkerton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rowe Pinkerton and Sarah Pinkerton (Bell). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Pinkerton (Maier); his children, Cindy Cattron (Dan) and Bob Pinkerton (Kim); his grandchildren, Amy Cattron, Allison McClure (Stuart), Monica Varner (James), Chris Cattron (Maria Moiseenko), Cameron and Brendan Pinkerton; and his great grandchildren, Keagan, Kaylee and Kelsey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 Iron Bridge Rd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
