He was predeceased by: his father Wilbert E. Carter (Buck); his wife Lisa Carter; his sons, Jerry Lee Carter (Frier), James Robert Carter and Aric W. Carter; his granddaughter Shelby Carter (Nichole); and his sister Wilma Harness.
He is survived by: his mother Elsie Carter (Switzer); his friend Alvie; and his children, Pamala Breckenridge, Vicent Carter (Ulanda), Russell Carter, Billie Jo Carter, Heather Hill, Brandon, Stacy Longhibler and David Longhibler.
