He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Christy and Ruth Christy; his wife Mary Jane Christy; his son Dr. Paul Sutherland Christy; his daughter-in-law Denise Christy; his daughter Jennifer Lynn Lee; his son-in-law Dr. Jonathan Lee; his daughter Mary Ruth Christy; his son-in-law Jay Voorhees; his daughter Lara Anne Christy; and his grandchildren, Sylvia Christy, Samuel Christy, Hannah Christy, Caroline Christy, Benjamin Lee (Erica Lee) and Christina Lee.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations in his memory be made to the American Diabetes Association.
